An Indian language blog started before February 2006 is eligible to be chosen for the Indic Bloggers Awards. The winning blog would be chosen on the basis of the aggregate points it scores from the votes it receives from you and the points BhashaIndia’s panel of judges award it.
The first step in this process is the Call for Nominations. From the 22nd of March 2006 to 5th of May 2006 everyone would be allowed to nominate a blog (remember it has to be in an Indian language). You are allowed to nominate only one blog per language per category. You may however nominate more than one blog in different categories or languages. Each nomination is considered to be a vote.
In the subsequent round from the 6th of May to the 12th of May 2006 these blogs would be evaluated by BhashaIndia’s panel of judges on the basis of six broad criteria.

* Quality of Content
* Quality of Language
* Frequency of Posts
* Visual Aesthetics
* Popularity
* Features

The blog that receives the highest aggregate points after these two rounds would be chosen for the Indic Bloggers awards for that category or language.
